For M&A advisors & consultants covering Texas

Deals under ten million need a Texas broker on the ground.

Every firm has a size floor. Below it, the fee does not cover the process, but the client is still a client and still expects an answer. Referring the deal to a local brokerage that runs it properly is better for everyone than working it at a loss or passing on it.

Our standing offer to you

A complimentary Broker Opinion of Value for any client you send us.

No fee. No obligation to list. No engagement letter. Send us an owner who wants to know what their company is actually worth and we prepare it at no charge — a real number instead of a rule of thumb, with you still the trusted advisor in the conversation that follows.

And no referral fee — in either direction. We do not pay them and we do not ask you to accept one. You are compensated by the client work the deal creates on both sides of it.

What this is worth to your practice

  1. 01

    Below-market-size mandates get run properly.

A $2 million EBITDA-light company with owner-dependent operations needs a different process than a sponsor-track auction. We run that process daily in the $1 to $10 million range and are set up for it.

  2. 02

The buyer pool is local and mostly individual.

At this size the buyer is usually an individual operator, a search-fund style buyer, or a regional strategic, reached through a Texas network and direct outreach rather than a national sponsor list.

  3. 03

    SBA financing drives the terms.

Eligibility, debt service coverage and seller-note requirements shape what the deal can look like. Preparing the file for how an SBA underwriter reads it is the difference between a closing and a stall in credit.

  4. 04

    Co-broke arrangements are available.

Where a formal co-broke fits, we structure it between brokers. For advisor introductions there is no referral fee in either direction.

  5. 05

You keep the relationship and the adjacent work.

You stay on the file as the client's advisor, and the consulting or integration work on either side of the closing stays yours.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Call or email us.

Industry, rough revenue, why they are thinking about it. Ten minutes on the phone is usually enough.

  2. Step 2

We prepare the Opinion of Value.

At no cost, under confidentiality. You decide whether it goes to your client from us or from you.

  3. Step 3

    You stay in the file.

If the owner moves forward you are on the deal team from letter of intent through closing, where the structure and the tax outcome are decided.

Also free to your clients, any time: our Roadmap to Success guide to selling a business, and a sample Confidential Business Review — the buyer-facing document we produce for every listing.
